SOUTH TAMPA BARS

Mangroves restaurant and bar is another south Tampa staple that looks a little more crowded than it is. The long wrap around bar is hard to navigate around, but rest assured there is another bar upstairs. Upstairs also houses the DJ and a dance floor on Friday and Saturday nights. Mangroves is a great place for happy hour after work as they feature mojito, sangria, and margarita pitchers. They have a small outside area which is a good place to avoid the cluster and get some air. Normally there is no cover charge except for Thursday night, it's usually around $10 go get in because it is a "younger" crowd.
