Ciro's Speakeasy and Supper Club
You ethier love it or hate it, there are no two ways about it. Don't plan on going to Ciro's expecting to have a drink, and get a quick bite. Instead, make a night of it. Ciro's Speak Easy and Supper Club is what it bills itself as and it achives just that. You show up not knowing what you're getting yourself into, with the unmarked and unadvertised building on Bayshore, and are immediately transfered back in time to the 1920s. There's no VIP seating, no red carpet, but a greeter behind the entrance. Once inside this small place, you feel exclusive just by getting through the door. At Circo's the cocktails are handmade and fresh, just don't expect vodka to be featured, just like the real 1920s Prohibition. The dimly lit room requires lighted menus in order to be read, while blues music plays in the backround. A jellyfish tank acts as the focal point of the bar area. The cocktail list one of a kind and is nothing like you will see in Tampa, a true throwback, where you will find 4 kinds of ice and over 10 varieties of bitters. The food menu is just as unique the drink menu, but seasonal as well. Ciro's is not your ordinary neighborhood bar and grill, it certainly ain't your dine and dash hotspot, well-executed theme restaurant.
